All of you who have been sticking around for a while know that I have a thing for backpacks and that you can sometimes see me wearing a cross body bag but never a handbag. I find handbags quite unpractical because you need to hold them so one of you're hands is unavailable at all time. Most of the time I overpack my bag cos hey I'll definitely need stuff from that cosmetic bag, two packs of tissues, wet tissues, a comb maybe even an umbrella. Carrying all that around for the day wouldn't feel nice after what, 30 minutes, maybe less?
The season of peonies lasts too short. You wait for them through the entire year to bloom at the end of May and then have a week or two of joy before they start falling apart. They look wonderful as a background for portraits, as decoration or just standing there intact in nature. Even dry, when the last breath of life leaves them they still remain beautiful...

I recently purchased three items from Zaful. Their adds keep popping up everywhere, everyone writes about them, features their items in outfit posts...so I wanted to see for myself what's it all about and how is the quality of their items. I must say I'm amazed by the quality and one of the items I purchased is my favourite piece of clothing for this summer.
When it's hot outside I don't like wearing pants. They stick to your legs, you get all sweaty and feel like you'll melt. But I don't own that many dresses or skirts to change them everyday (even tho my mom thinks I have a closet full of dresses I barely ever wear) so I'll have to get some more in the next month.
As I'm getting older I don't feel as comfortable wearing short skirts as I used to (at least not to public institutions) so when I'm going to uni I prefer wearing something that's around the knee length. When I'm shopping for summer clothes (I also wanna wear to University) I need to pay attention to it's length cos nowadays many dresses are super short. This dress is perfect. Perfect length, light material, beautiful colour/design.

as Father's day is approaching (in the USA, it's on March 19th here in Croatia) I was inspired by Bonobos to share some looks that best represents a
male figure in my life. If you're still stumbling on a Father's Day
gift, I would recommend checking out their wide variety of chinos. The male figure who's style I'll share is Mato. You could have read about him through my posts and see him in photos cos he's most of the time my photographer.
We've knows each other for something over 3 years but it feels like much more. He is a very positive, fun and talkative person. A great friend, support and the one who'll listen to you when you need someone to talk to. Whenever you're up for an adventure text him and he'll be ready in 30min. I have a hard time opening up to people and feeling relaxed but with him everything seems easy and those little awkward moments aren't awkward but something to make fun of. He's one of the kids who have cool parents so there's no way he could turn out un-cool haha.
When it comes to his style I can say he's really into button up shirts which you'll see. Sometimes he wears them buttoned and sometimes unbuttoned with a graphic or basic t-shirt underneath. His prescription glasses are so pretty and add up to his style. Pictures say more than words so here are 3 looks from our days spent walking around the town and taking photos.

I believe all of you have an creative block sometimes and need rest from everything. I've been absent for almost a month, trying to put my mind off of all things and "start fresh" with no worries, no stress, just doing what I love when I can. As the academic year is closer and closer to the end we have many projects to make which are time consuming. I find myself sitting in front of the laptop and writing code or googling for how-to's for the entire day. After class I'd sometimes stay in Zagreb for couple hours to take photos of a friend but mostly go straight home or to work.

April already came to it's end. I can't believe how fast time passes. As this weekend is a prolonged one you all probably have some plans already. On May Day (1st May / Labour Day) my family has some sort of tradition to host a family lunch and then most of us go on a hike afterward. If the weather serves us it will be the same this year.

The weather is having mood swings again and for the last couple days the temperature was barely above 0 and it was so freakin' windy. I've put away all my winter clothes and don't plan to bring it out again. It looks better today and hopefully it will stay that way. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I want it to be productive, some studying, taking lots of photos and writing a post or two. I feel like I've been quite inactive on social media and here so I'll try to fix that.

I finally went to the hairdresser to dye my hair again. She used the same dye as before but it turned out much darker, which I don't mind cos it's a beautiful dark amethyst shade. Probably after 2 weeks or so it will turn to the colour I had last time. As I let them experiment, and do with my hair whatever they want she made these big curls which make me feel like a doll and which will last for the Easter weekend.
Our lives tend to get busy, we live walking in one direction, most of the time having a plan, sticking to schedules. What if we stopped for a moment. Stopped for an hour and just let our legs take us somewhere, known unknown it doesn't matter. Just somewhere away from the routine, unplanned and without a purpose.
Yesterday after helping around the house parents wanted to take little sister to the playground so I tag along. Took my camera as I pretty much always do and messaged my friend Mato (who's usually my photographer so shoutout to him!) to go for a walk. He already was outside with another friend of our so we met up and walked around the town, not really knowing where we'll end up. Just following pretty light, going through parks, by the water... It was such a wonderful, much needed relaxing time. Even tho I have three exams this week I think it was a great idea to go out.
Enjoy the moment, it's worth it.

Wedding and prom season are here, or close... Those are occasions that make us think in advance what to wear, what to do with our hair and makeup. When a formal event takes place in late Spring/ Summer you know it will be hot and you will melt if you don't make the right decisions. We don't have prom in Croatia. The only high school related formal event for which we dress up to look all fancy is a dinner after the last year which is usually in June. In this post I'll show you some dresses and talk a bit about hair and makeup.
Last week was the first spring week. I though it would make me happy and all energetic but somehow I ended up feeling down again, unmotivated and uninspired.

Going out for a long walk and taking photos is slowly becoming a regular thing for me as the days get warmer and longer. Friend is trying to live a healthier, more active life so during the weekend, when we're both free he's always for action. One of our favourite spots to take photos became the arboretum cos there are so many evergreen trees. I'm a huge lover of nature, greenery + sun make me tremendously happy and full of energy. Boyfriend likes to call me a plant lover and says I want to turn into a plant. But nah, I just wanna be a faerie living among them.

As you could see on my Instagram account the hair colour I went to is lilac/lavander/violet/pastel purple (however you want to call it). I've been wanting it for years but was always afraid of bleaching my entire hair. Today I wanted to share with you the process I went through to get from my natural hair colour to blonde to pastel. Before going to the hairdresser's I did a lot of research. I watched so many YouTube videos and read many articles on bleaching, different brands of hair dye, mixing the dye with conditioner, using Olaplex hair treatment...I'm writing this so you don't have to go through all of it.

I hope you're all having a great week. Sunday was such a fun day and a great way to prepare for (or relax before) the upcoming week in which I had my last exam this semester. I spent the entire afternoon outside with a friend. We were roaming around the town, mostly going through parks and along the river but as the sun went down we walked towards the center train station to admire the stunning pastel sunset. 
It finally feels like spring is on the way. Sunny and warmer days came which means we can put the long, thick winter jacket in the back of the closet. A month ago I came across a photo saying "Winter knows no fashion" which is so true. Even if you dress super cute you'll have to cover your outfit with a thick jacket and scarf, probably earmuffs or a hat and gloves. Coats are very stylish but when the temperature gets way bellow 0°C and is windy for the sake of your health you'll switch to a warmer jacket.

I hope you had a great beginning of the week. It's important how we start our day and we shouldn't skip breakfast. In my family everyone always says "Eat Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince, and Dinner like a Pauper". Even tho I leave home before 6am most of the days and don't get to have a breakfast there I always grab something to eat on the way to uni.
When I have time, or am at home I love making chia seed pudding. It's fast, easy, nutritious and delicious. It's a healthy sweet treat that each of us can have and not feel guilty afterwards. I'm also thinking about getting a small jar with a vacuum lid so I could have it even on those days when I'm in a rush .
The recipe can be easily amended to your preferences.
Oh how I dislike these murky lifeless days. One or two is alright, but now I feel like it's been over a months since warm sun rays touched my skin. I'm craving for vitamin D, song of birds, colourful sunsets and long, really really long days.
I admit I am lazy, but the darkness for 24 hours makes me even lazier, literally lifeless. I truly want to do something productive, creative but there are 0 ideas, 0 things that would satisfy my other, creative (perfectionist) cravings. Working makes me feel good. Today after work and lunch I asked mom to go to the arboretum for a short walk. It's the only place I could think of that isn't muddy and has some greenery. So we went. It's amazing how such little things can change our mood. Just couple minutes of being surrounded by bushes, looking at them, touching them, taking some photos made me feel so much better than anything for so long did.

For the last 4 years or so, whenever I need to wake up early for a trip I oversleep! Turn off the alarm unconsciously, don't even turn it on, or completely ignore it. Maybe it's because of the excitement that doesn't let me fall asleep early...
A dear friend of mine who lives in Budapest sent me a message couple weeks before the trip saying she'll be close and we should meet up. At first I though she'll be passing through Zagreb or somewhere else in Croatia, but no, she was going to Ljubljana for the weekend. "Can I join you?" I asked her and her answer was positive. So now she wasn't planing the trip on her own but we were going together. She searched for some places we should see but we didn't prepare much, we even booked the hostel after midnight on the day of the travel and found a host on couchsurfing around the same time.

January is finally close to it's end but the low temperature won't be gone with it since today was -11°C. I'm rooting for sunny and warmer days in February (even tho it's also a winter month). During the winter sale I spent way more than I planed, but I'm comforting myself with the "I won't need to shop till summer" line. In the things I got are few blush pink items. I haven't worn pink for years and didn't own any pink clothing item until now.
Let's talk about bell sleeves! Aren't they amazing? I purchased my first last year ( you can see it in my Farewell Summer post here) and I've been loving it cos it makes an outfit so much dressier with 0 effort. But it's half sleeves so it's very unpractical to wear under a cardigan. Unfortunately I need to wait for warmer months to be able to wear it again. As I was going through clothes in Stradivarius I noticed the dark blush pink long sleeve shirt and as I was in desperate need of a long sleeve tee I unfolded it and saw the beautiful bell shape at the bottom. And as a bonus it has a little higher neckline which I absolutely love. I tried it on, it felt amazing, it's soft, stretchy but not to stretchy and warm. Also as a person with long arms it's hard for me to find long sleeve shirts that will stay that, whenever I wash them or wear for a bit the sleeves somehow pull back and become 4/5. But bell sleeves are longer and stay normal length even if they "pull back".

This January, pretty much as any in the student life is pretty hectic. We're going fast through the last few weeks of classes, writing exams and starting with finals. It takes so much time ans asks for so much work that at the end of the day you're drained, stressed and anxious.
For the last couple of days, or even weeks, I didn't really count, I'm feeling unmotivated and uninspired. I' not sure is it because of the stress or weather. As a summer person I function so much better during warm, sunny days. They inspire me and give me energy, will to do more. When it's cold and gloomy, all I wanna do is lay in bed and take naps inbetween watching series. With all the work I didn't really find time to write a blogpost. I've been wanting but ended up postponing it each time and falling asleep when was time to do it. As soon as terms end I'll get back to blogging and do much more than I did so far.

It's been so cold for the past few days. The temperature got to -19°C in some parts and the wind is blowing really hard. The weather isn't really for spending any time outside cos you'll start freezing after a minute. When I remember that I'll have to travel every single day and walk for 15 minutes in the freezing weather from Monday I loose all ambitions and feel even more anxious about class than I usually do. No matter what I wear I'll end up feeling cold for the entire day. I'm a summer child, so no matter how warm it is I can bear it, but the cold, the cold is killing me.
When I need to leave the house layers of clothes are trying to keep me warm. So here's an outfit from yesterday.

But if you don't get something you wanted in the beginning it's very likely it will be gone by the time you change your mind. Sales start at the worst time. We just spent our hard earned money on presents and preparations for the holidays and now all the sale signs are making us tempted to spend even more.
While searching for presents for my family I ended up buying some things for myself. My favourite vintage second hand store started with a sale that week so I went to check if there's something for me. And I found out about another vintage store and they had sale on coats so I also went there to check them out (and because I needed a new coat). All the stores are close to the main square in Zagreb so I went to Zara in Ilica st. to get a present for my little sis and ended up buying a dress I've been searching for for years.

I stayed home for this NYE celebration cos I still didn't recover entirely from the illness. But that didn't stop me from dressing up and applying makeup. I got ready as if I were going out. I didn't plan any look since I had no plans at all. This sweet top I ordered couple days ago from Stradivarius arrived on the 30th, which was such a surprise cos I wasn't expecting it, so I decided to wear it and pair with some skirt, preferably a longer skater skirt but the choice ended up on this faux leather one from Romwe.
